Hailing from Oyo, one of West Africa’s most storied towns, OluwaMillar is a Nigerian-born, Stoke-on-Trent-based rapper, raconteur & performer. In a rave review of his EP, Agbalagbi, Nigerian pop culture powerhouse MoreBranches christened his sound ‘Yoruba Soul,’ calling the 7-track debut “a masterclass in cultural fusion, where raw hip-hop energy meets deep Yoruba philosophical undertones.”  ÀGBÁLÁGBÌ has since become more than a debut EP title, it’s now his persona, and it attests to all of this as he tells stories of pain, survival, freedom, peace, grief, the raw unapologetic side of desire and more.

His brilliant wordplay, ingenious rhyming, cadence & storytelling earned him co-signs from Wretch 32 & Reminisce in 2024. The following year in September 2025, he made his UK stage debut at Tim Lyre’s SENPAI LIVE Concert in Notting Hill Arts Club, London. 

Now based in Staffordshire, recent highlights include a B Arts Stoke micro-commission, a performance at the maiden Cheshire Afrofest, and a set at the Three Counties Arts Exhibition first ever Summer Lates hosted by Arts Keele in conjunction with Kwanzaa Collective UK and Pilgrim Arts. He recently debuted a sustainability-focused piece at Up-Rooted Global Majority Festival for Climate Justice in Nottingham. 

 “Gbese Le,” his Baile Funk record with Sensei Lo was played on BBC Radio 6 & 1Xtra. “Gbadura/Ya Allahu” a sensational 2-pack project is his latest drop. “Gbadura” pairs hip-hop with a gentle groove and rap verses that echo prayers for the fallen, the grieving, and those grinding through grief. “Ya Allahu” leans into amapiano with a three-step rhythm, building from solemn to celebratory: a manifestation anthem that doubles as a prayer manual. One thing is for sure, his music is soul food.

Off stage, the substance continues: he holds a Masters (with Distinction) in Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology from Keele University as a 2024/25 British Council GREAT Scholar and social media ambassador.
